In Bristol, England, Tom began construction on his microhome when he was seventeen years old. He had a longer-term view than the typical adolescent and realized how expensive it is to acquire a house.
Tom preferred not to cope with the hassle of just making rent every month.
His grandparents owned a lovely plot of land, so he started constructing a small house there. Tom constructed his house on a trailer hitch to ensure it was both sturdy and easily transportable in the event that he wanted to relocate.
