Family Ditches House for Full-Time Motorhome Living with Three Kids

The Garcias of Joshua, Texas, opted to live in a recreational vehicle (RV) rather than a conventional house. In 2019, after selling their house and removing most of their belongings, they embarked on this expedition.

Living in their sixth recreational vehicle, a large motorhome, they had visited twenty-five states. Former frequent flyer Jaren Garcia is now an insurance adjuster. Molly, his wife, oversees the family’s social media and blog accounts while homeschooling their three children.

The RV lifestyle is more than a vacation for them. Jaren works and maintains other enterprises on the side, while Molly takes care of the kids’ education and handles their online stuff.

Because of how much fun it is to live in an RV, their children have no desire to return to a conventional home or school.

They have also saved a ton of money by living in an RV. Their monthly expenditure has dropped from approximately $3,000 to $1,000.

While they have made improvements to each RV they’ve owned, they’ve learned that carrying around too much gear might lead to trouble.
