KATHY BATES HEALTH: ACTRESS ‘WENT BERSERK’ AFTER DIAGNOSIS OF ‘INCURABLE’ CONDITION
Kathy Bates, an Oscar-winning actress, told Dr. Phil about her “incurable” disease. After ovarian cancer, she revealed her second cancer.
It’s no secret that I’m a nine-year ovarian cancer survivor, Bates said. However, few know that I was diagnosed with breast cancer few weeks ago.” She expressed the emotional impact: “You think AHS is scary?” You should have joined me in that room.”
Bates had surgery and chemotherapy without telling anyone, despite her past ordeal. She said, “I didn’t want anyone to know, but it really took a lot out of me.” Bates, who is cancer-free, has lymphedema, an incurable illness affecting 30% of breast cancer survivors after lymph node surgery.
