Tattoo addict inks 95 percent of his body, reveals what he looked like just 5 years ago

In the past five years, 26-year-old tattoo aficionado and apprentice Tristan Weigelt has covered 95 percent of his body with tattoos, drastically altering his appearance. Stunning before and after images of Weigelt’s body art journey—which he began at the tender age of 20—provide a striking contrast to his present inked-up look. In spite of everything that has changed, he remains unaltered on the inside.

Tattoos on the face and head, according to Weigelt, are the most painful because they resemble the feeling of having a metal brush scraped across one’s skin. There were a total of six full-day sessions needed to get these tattoos done, and each one lasted five to six hours and was excruciatingly painful.

Tattoos, according to Weigelt, are just ways for a person to express themselves; they don’t have any hidden meanings or messages. He urges anyone considering getting tattoos to pick designs that speak to them personally rather than worrying about trends, because he has already spent $50,000 on tattoos.

An inspiring journey of self-discovery that questions conventional ideas of beauty and individuality is showcased in this narrative of metamorphosis. Is a tattoo of this magnitude something you’d ever consider?
