Concerns about Biden’s age and cognitive impairment have persisted, and the lack of strong Democratic Party candidates has only made matters worse.
Both Vice President Kamala Harris and California Governor Gavin Newsom have been mentioned as possible contenders, however they are both seen as having underwhelming performances. The Democratic Party is left with few options in the absence of an unexpected run by prominent personalities like Michelle Obama.
As a result, Biden and Trump will likely face off in 2024. Some Hollywood A-listers have already brought up the idea of moving overseas in preparation for the worst-case scenario for Democrats, in which Trump wins a second term in office.
Not one of the lefty Hollywood stars who said they would leave the nation if Trump won in 2016 really did so. Still, in the run-up to the 2024 election, such dangers have reappeared.
In light of Trump’s potential reelection, Barbara Streisand has reiterated her intention to move. Streisand said, “I will move” in an interview to promote her memoirs. I would be unable to remain a citizen of this nation under his presidency. It has still to be determined, however, whether such claims will come to fruition.
