Gorgeous home of a woman’s dreams created out of a former WWII bunker
Cornwall in Great Britain is where Strutton calls home. During the war against the Third Reich, it was formerly a location that was manned around the clock.

the year 1980.

Mike, Strutton’s husband, and she noticed a real estate office window advertising the bunker for sale; the structure was located on a farm. A farmer sold them the land for $194,000.

Potatoes were stored in the bunker.


It had two to six foot strong bombproof walls and yet held military equipment. Converting it into a home is no easy feat.

The region was densely forested and covered in ivy. Insulation, plumbing, and electrical wiring were installed after the couple had the ceilings lowered and the floors raised.
