Daughter texts Dad: “Get your checkbook ready, Daddy. I’m coming home to get married soon.” HAHA! He’s in the US, as you are aware, and I’m in Australia. We had lengthy conversations on WhatsApp, became friends on Facebook, and met on a dating service.

After he proposed to me over Skype, we’ve been dating for two months via Viber. I want a huge wedding, your blessing, and best wishes, Dad. Love you very much, Lilly.

Dad’s response: Daddy’s response: My sweet Lilly, As in, Whoa! Really? Nice! Whatever the case… I propose that you two register for your goods on Amazon, get married on Twitter, have a great time dancing, and pay for everything with PayPal. And sell your new hubby on eBay when you’re done with him. Love you lots, Dad.
