The whole internet collaborated and couldn’t find what this is. I’m not sure what this is, ninety percent of people don’t know too…

Toy Clackers—also referred to as lik-Klaks—were well-liked by collectors of vintage toys in the 1970s and continue to be so now. The toy is made up of two plastic balls that are strung together. The balls produce a loud “clacking” sound when they swing back and forth.

The toy was created in 1969 by Wham-O, a toy business. Other well-known toys made by the business include the Superball, Frisbee, and Hula Hoop. The company sold over 10 million Toy Clackers in its first year of release because they were that popular.\

Because of safety concerns, the item was subsequently outlawed in numerous locations. Some of the plastic balls were said to have broken, sending parts flying and hurting kids. Eventually, the manufacturer produced a safer version of the toy, but it never gained the same level of popularity as the original.

Toy Clackers are still a popular collectible among enthusiasts and people who grew up playing with them. For those who are fortunate enough to own a pair, the old toy continues to bring joy and serves as a remembrance of simpler times.

Although I never owned a pair, I do have fond memories of playing with them at friends’ houses. Have you got any?
