These Target stores are set to close: Here’s the full list

Target plans to eliminate nine stores in four states as a result of increasing theft and “organized retail crime.” The problems with crime continued even after “adding more security team members, using third-party guard services, and implementing theft-deterrent tools.” The impacted markets, the remaining stores, and job information are shown below:

Harlem: 517 E 117th St., New York City (96 shops left, more than 20,000 employees)
University Way, 4535 University Way NE, Seattle
Ballard: Ste. 100, 1448 NW Market St. (With 22 stores still open, around 4,000 employees)
Oakland/San Francisco: SF Folsom, Oakland: 1690 Folsom St. Broadway: 2650 Broadway
4301 Century Blvd. in Pittsburg (with 32 stores still open and more than 6,400 team members)
Hollywood: 4030 NE Halsey St. Portland: Galleria: 939 SW Morrison St. Powell: 3031 SE Powell Blvd. Hollywood: 15 surviving stores, with 2,500 team members
In these areas, there are still more than 150 active stores. Target is strengthening security by partnering with the Homeland Security Investigations section of the US Department of Homeland Security and locking cases containing specific items. The company stated, “Although we will keep making significant investments across our business, we cannot solve this issue on our own.”
