UPDATE ON KATE MIDDLETON AS FIRST OFFICIAL ENGAGEMENT SINCE SURGERY IS ANNOUNCED

One week prior to the major event, on June 8, Kate Middleton will review Trooping the Colour, marking her first official engagement following her operation. According to the Household Division website, around 1400 troops and 400 musicians will participate in the review, which will be exactly the same as when it is reviewed by His Majesty the King.

This announcement reassures royal fans amid worries over Kate’s health. Despite the Palace’s claim that she is “doing well,” there has been speculation on the severity of her condition. After Kate disappeared from the public eye around Christmas, there was more conjecture until a recent picture emerged of her with her mother, Carol Middleton, outside Windsor Castle.

Despite the Royal Family’s best efforts to reassure the public about Kate’s recuperation, speculation has been fuelled by the lack of information. Despite this, the news of her impending engagement provides encouragement for her recuperation and a chance for her to resume her royal duties.
