Pop icon Britney Spears turned heads once again over the weekend after posting a nearly nude photo to Instagram — a move that quickly reignited chatter among fans and critics alike.
The 43-year-old “Toxic” singer shared a striking image on Saturday, August 23, posing with her back to the camera while wearing only a pair of thigh-high black boots. A strategically placed rose emoji covered her lower half. Spears, who has become known for limiting engagement on her posts, disabled comments — but that didn’t stop the internet from buzzing.
Spears’ bold post is just the latest in a series of attention-grabbing social media moments. These days, the Grammy-winning artist uses Instagram as her main platform for self-expression, often posting dance clips, throwback videos, and deeply personal reflections.
Earlier this year, Spears made headlines when she danced in a black lace bodysuit and wide-brimmed hat to the tune of her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake’s 2002 hit, “Señorita.” The pair dated for three years before their highly publicized split in 2002.

Spears’ marriage to Asghari ended last year after six years together. The Traitors star announced the separation in August 2023, asking for kindness and respect amid the split. “S*** happens,” he wrote on Instagram, adding that he still wished Spears the best.
The pop superstar’s romantic history has often been the subject of intense media scrutiny. In a recent interview, Asghari revealed he encouraged Spears to sign a prenuptial agreement before they wed — not to protect himself, but to safeguard her assets. “I wanted to make sure she’s protected,” he said. “Everybody in her life has taken advantage of her, and I didn’t want to be that person.”
