Recipe: Creamy Garlic Parmesan Chicken
Ingredients:
-
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
-
2 tablespoons olive oil
-
4 garlic cloves, minced (you can add more if you love extra garlic flavor)
-
1 cup heavy cream
-
1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
-
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions:
-
Prep and Season the Chicken:
Start by patting the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. This helps them get a nice golden crust when cooked. Season both sides generously with salt and black pepper. -
Cook the Chicken:
Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Once hot, add the chicken breasts and cook for about 5–6 minutes per side, depending on thickness, until they are beautifully golden brown and fully cooked through. Use a meat thermometer if needed — the internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C). Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside on a plate; cover to keep warm. -
Make the Sauce:
In the same skillet (don’t wipe it clean — all those browned bits add flavor!), add the minced garlic. Sauté for about 1–2 minutes, stirring constantly so it doesn’t burn, until it becomes fragrant and golden. -
Add Cream and Parmesan:
Pour in the heavy cream and stir, scraping up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan. Slowly add the Parmesan cheese, stirring continuously until the sauce is smooth and starts to thicken slightly. Taste and adjust seasoning with more salt or pepper if needed. -
Combine and Simmer:
Return the cooked chicken breasts to the skillet, spooning the sauce over each piece. Let them simmer in the sauce for another 5 minutes, allowing the chicken to soak up all those delicious creamy, cheesy flavors. -
Garnish and Serve:
Sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top for a pop of color and fresh flavor.
Serving Suggestions:
Serve this creamy garlic Parmesan chicken over a bed of buttery mashed potatoes, al dente pasta, or even fluffy rice. Add a side of steamed veggies or a crisp green salad to balance the richness.
Your husband (and anyone else you serve it to!) will fall in love with this comforting, restaurant-quality dish. It’s so quick and easy to make on a weeknight but feels special enough for a cozy date night at home. Plus, the creamy sauce is so good you’ll want to spoon it over everything!
Enjoy — and get ready to hear lots of “Mmm” sounds at the dinner table!
